The BAS is kicking off the Star Party season at Cloudland Canyon State Park! Please join us at the Disc Golf parking area for an evening of astronomical observations with visual telescopes, Electronically-Assisted scopes and monitors, and just looking up with our eyes!

Note: BAS events are free to all, but Cloudland Canyon requires a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle.

Basic information for the September 6, 2025 Cloudland Canyon Star Party:

• Sunset: 8:00 pm

• Moon: 97% Waxing Gibbous

• Set-Up: 7:00-8:00 pm

• Guest Arrival: 7:30 pm

• Deep Sky: Summer deep sky goodies!

• Planets: Saturn late.

The nature of these events means they are weather-dependent. Updates typically posted between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
